The pilot vessel “Elbe” was in drydock for 5 weeks. Beside of coating, hull and piping work, the shaft system was also overhauled. In addition to other class-related work, various interior work was carried out.
Between February and April we welcomed HJH shipmanagement for the second time to our yard with five of their bulk carriers in sequence, Sandnes, Splittnes, Bulknes, Fitnes and Beltnes. During their stay we succesfully installed three ballast water treatment systems, wetblasted and repainted the cargo holds of three vessels and performed three class renewals.
The ELBSEA was in our shipyard for rudder and propulsion system repair as well as for the 10 year class renewal. The shipyard stay included the installation of the BWTS system and a new color scheme in the outer ship area. There was a renaming of the ship from ELBSEA to ELBTEAM.
Our customer Carisbrooke came back with the Eileen C. The multipurpose vessel received a class refit and work was done on the propeller shaft.
The container ship Elbstar (built in 2009) was in dry dock with us for 19 days, to renew her 10-year-old class. Among other things, rudder and shaft work took place, work on the BWTS system and hatch repairs.
The MV Jonni Ritscher is a 178 m long container ship with berths for approx. 1850 TEU containers of Transeste Schiffahrts GmbH. The ship was with us for class renewal. In addition to the class-relevant work, a ballast water treatment plant was installed.
We were pleased to welcome the “REM Inspector” as a new customer at EWD.The “REM Inspector” is a 110-metre offshore support vessel of the shipping company REM Offshore AS from Norway. Pilot tender „Döse“ was in drydock for 5 weeks.Beside coating, hull and pipe works, the main engines were swapped and the generators as well as the fin stabilizing units got complete overhauling.
The Millerntor was at the shipyard for 17 days for class renewal work. The main work, in addition to the class-relevant work, the removal of the existing preservation by UHP and applying the new coating.
