The K 130 corvette “Braunschweig” was handed back to the German Navy on April 7th, 2020 after successfully undergoing repairs and maintenance. The estimated repair time was extended from 6 months to 15 months due to additional orders.

As of 1st January 2020 Niels Rehbock is appointed as new managing director of Emden Dockyard. Niels Rehbock joined the yard in August 2016 as senior manager and will succeed Dr. Christian Eckel after his retirement.

Traditional light ship FS Amrumbank to be refitted in Emden
The traditional light vessel FS Amrumbank / Deutsche Bucht reached out shipyard in January 2020 for a major maintenance and restoration job, planned to be carried out within the next 6 months. The works were commissioned by light ship’s museum association “Amrumbank / Deutsche Bucht e.V.”
