The offshore supply vessel NOORDHOEK PATHFINDER was docked at Emden Dockyard on 23 March 2023. The vessel, built in 2010 and sails under the flag of the Netherlands. From 30 November to 20 December, the WIND OF CHANGE, a Louis Dreyfus Armateurs ship operated for Ørsted, was berthed at our shipyard. The work has been completed and the ship is back in service at the wind farms. The work carried out included replacement of two box coolers and replacement of the box cooler

Both shaft systems were removed and overhauled and a conversion to bio-oil (USA modification) took place. Both propeller hubs were overhauled in the workshop and the propeller blades refurbished in the mechanical workshop. On 08 November we greeted in our Dockyard the container ship SONDERBORG in Emden. After an extended deployment of the offshore support vessel SIEM BARRACUDA in the Asian region, a pit stop was made at EWD on the way back to NorwayIn the dock, the shaft devices on the drive units were replaced. The pilot vessel „Elbe“ was in drydock for 5 weeks. Beside of coating, hull and piping work, the shaft system was also overhauled. In addition to other class-related work, various interior work was carried out.                

Between February and April we welcomed HJH shipmanagement for the second time to our yard with five of their bulk carriers in sequence, Sandnes, Splittnes, Bulknes, Fitnes and Beltnes. During their stay we succesfully installed three ballast water treatment systems, wetblasted and repainted the cargo holds of three vessels and performed three class renewals.  

The ELBSEA was in our shipyard for rudder and propulsion system repair as well as for the 10 year class renewal. The shipyard stay included the installation of the BWTS system and a new color scheme in the outer ship area. There was a renaming of the ship from ELBSEA to ELBTEAM.
